Troubleshoot when keys are not syncing to hosts as expected.
Sync Issues
If keys are not appearing in authorized_keys files as expected, follow these steps.
Check Host Status
In the Lockwave dashboard, verify the host shows a healthy status. If it shows offline or error, resolve connectivity issues first.
Verify Assignments
Confirm that:
- The key has an active assignment to the host
- The assignment targets the correct OS user
- The key is not blocked
- Break-glass is not active
Check Sync Timing
The daemon syncs at the interval configured for your plan:
- Free: every 5 minutes
- Standard: every 2 minutes
- Business: every 1 minute
- Enterprise: every 30 seconds
Force Sync
Restart the daemon to trigger an immediate sync:
sudo systemctl restart lockwaved
